RII60520 Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design

This qualification reflects the role of an individual working as a senior civil works designer or a para-professional designer, who supports professional engineers. They perform tasks that are broad, specialised, complex and technical and include strategic areas and initiating activities. They are responsible for the design of complex projects to ensure the implementation of the client’s site requirements and are required to demonstrate self-directed application of theoretical and technical knowledge and initiate solutions to technical problems or management requirements. This course covers broad civil construction managerial and project management competencies including managing project procurements and quality, civil works design processes, and traffic management systems. 

• Must be 18 years of age on commencement.  
• Have a minimum IELTS score of at least 6.0 or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a Year 12 certificate or equivalent  

• Students may apply for recognition of existing qualifications or skills, knowledge and experience (credit transfer or recognition of prior learning) at the time of enrolment or at any time during their enrolment (prior to the commencement of the relevant unit/s of competency).

• For international students, the granting of course credit may affect course fees as well as the duration of the course. The result of an application for credit and any changes to fees or course duration will be advised to students in writing.

• Highgate students who have completed RII50520 DIPLOMA OF CIVIL CONSTRUCTION DESIGN or who enrol in packaged courses, (i.e., enrolling in certificates courses leading to diploma or advanced diploma courses) will receive credits in the common units between the courses and the course duration /fees may vary for such students.

• For the above category students, the course duration for Advanced Diploma in Civil Construction design will be 40 weeks (including term breaks, holidays, pre-training, and completion activities)And the course fees will be    Tuition fee: $9,000  & Material fee: $ 1,000.

On successful completion of the RII60520 Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design students can progress to an undergraduate course of study or industry-recognised accreditation programs.
